It's too cold to work in the shop on my new MD-PAS triple pistol.....so...

I'm dying to fool with my new MD-PAS triple pistol.....
But it's the dead of winter....
So this is a good time to reflect on things.

My daddy was the most wonderful father anyone ever had.
But, he was afraid for us kids to fool with guns, so he couldn't take me hunting, and he wasn't into making things, or tinkering with stuff.
For whatever reason(s), I've loved guns all my life, and the outdoors afield.......and I love tinkering with things, trying ideas, etc.
I'm the most fortunate person on earth that I've had two mentors in my life.
Lloyd, "Mutt" Martin taught me a bunch about machining, especially tool making, and I devote a chapter in my book about him.
And Lawrence Parson taught me a bunch about the outdoors and about, for the lack of a better way of putting it, about life.

First of all, I ain't got no answers.
I've got a lot of questions about things, but few answers.
I mean, who am I, and who are you?
Why is there bad in the world?
Why is there good in the world?

You know CYA friends, for all the years I hunted and learned from Lawrence about outdoors craft, and life, I never saw him as a black man.
He was just a very wise individual who had a million life experiences that he was willing to share with me, especially hunting, guns and the outdoors.
And I don't believe he saw me as a white man.......

Therefore, since it's so cold, and I can't fool with my new pistol, I thought I'd share some of the experiences I had with Lawrence, during these next few days, until I can get back to my new pistol.
