I'm posting this down here on the "New products or services" forum, cause I don't want to walk on my other threads about me possibly building another Calfee SPEC rifle......THE VIRGINIAN....SPEC 10.


But....................


I'm sitting on a gold mine!

I got to inventorying my unlapped blanks today, so as to pick one for SPEC 10, THE VIRGINIAN...


And it just dawned on me, that I'm sitting on a gold mine.



All of these unlapped blanks are from the halcyon days gone by......


These are period correct, unlapped, Shilens, Broughtons and others, from the halcyon days of the beginnings of taper lapping RFBR barrels....


And they are unlapped........


No other human being, on this planet, possesses period correct, unlapped, RFBR barrels like I have in my possession.


I'm sitting on a gold mine.......


I just realized this today............

It's crept upon me over the years.....


I amassed an amazing number of unlapped, "period correct" RFBR barrels over the years.


These unlapped barrels are from the heyday of RFBR barrel making....


And now....................


They're worth a fortune...........


Man, I'd give anything if I were physically able to make use of them, myself.................


But it is what it is...................


And I fully accept it................


But, I've got to suck it up, someway, and build one more SPEC........................................
