I moved your post here to the OPEN forum to answer it.

Here's your post:

Bill, I have a question for you. If I wanted to have a MD-PAS rifle built for me to shoot, can you recommend a few things for me?

- Action?
- Barrell?
- Trigger?
- Stock?

Also, can you recommend a gunsmith that can create a competitive rifle?

Lastly, I'm new to benchrest matches and will be shooting ARA matches for the first time this year. I have a custom SAP rifle (2500x/Shilen Rachet/B&A trigger/McMillan stock) and have been reading about the SAP vs MD-PAS designs. Specifically, do you have a diagram or picture of a MD-PAS firing pin/bolt so I can see the difference in the design of these two rifle types?

Thanks very much for sharing your ideas and recommendations.

Friend RFS99, I recommend you stay with your 2500X/Shilen SAP ignition contraption until you get your feet wet in RFBR...

If you determine you want to stay with the sport and you feel your SAP ignition contraption is not adequate, then you can move up to a MD-PAS contraption at that time.

I'll do my best to answer your other questions, if you decide to stay with RFBR...

Good luck.......
