Fitting a barrel from an XP pistol to a Turbo

CYA accuracy fool friends:

Can a barrel from one of my XP pistols be fit to a Turbo, while keeping the original chamber and crown?

Oh yes......

Caution, you'd never do this to a centerfire........OK.....never!

But a rimfire, no problem....

This is also a demonstration that shows that the percentage of thread engagement is not critical to rimfire accuracy, as long as it's safe and technically correct.......

The reduced shank of the XP barrel is threaded for the Turbo.....

Which gives a tenon of .700" x 16 TPI.... instead of the normal .750" x 16 TPI...

This gives an actual thread engagement of about .006".......maybe .005"....

These pictures will be self explanatory.....
