Friend PedroS:

Pedro, are you still going to be able to make it to this year's Triple Crown?

Hi Bill,

2023 ended badly for my family. And, 2024, is not starting any better...
A disabling illness on a close relative, puts an unfair burden on my wife if I going away for so many days. I just can't do it. I have to be around until a full recovery, or at least, a better functional independence will be achieved.
So, unfortunately, I can't make it this year.
And, I have to say, I'm flattered, that my shooting mates won't go either without me.

I feel sorry for Tony, not being able to meet him personally, and all the other US friends I have made on forums like this one.

But, next year is another chance to go there.

Thanks for asking.

You finished your response to me by thanking me for asking.

You're welcome.....I'm sorry your family is having difficulties.....my best to them, and you.

NOW........

Oh my.......Pedro, you coming to the Triple Crown will be like the unstoppable force meeting the immovable object...

After you produced the greatest performance in the history of big time RFBR, you know the shooters here in America will put a target on your back..

There can be two outcomes...

The American shooters will beat you and will brag all the way to the bank...

Or.......

You will beat them and send them running off with their tails tucked between their legs...

Friend PedroS, same thing will happen if you can make the Triple Crown next year...

Whether this year or next, if you come, it will be the greatest show in the history of contemporary RFBR shooting.

I hope I'm still above ground to see it...

Indeed, life is to be lived but we have to accept what it brings...

I do hope all of us to be above ground next year! And not only above ground, but healthy as well.

I learned, since I started to compete, at age of 8, that only one will win.
But I don't follow that all the others are losers. It will depend on each goals.

I know that coming to the US all shooters are expecting to win from me, but I'm not going there to beat you all. My deepest goal is far from that. My desire is knowing another reality, shooting with US legends, learning different shooting approaches, meet my friends, and having a good time.
Of course, I can beat you all too, but that will come as a plus.

I'm not going there to loose, that's for sure, but winning and loosing is part of the game.
Either way, I'll be happy.

Let's cross fingers for next year.

Folks here will always look forward to meeting you and your shooting mates from Europe and, win or lose, a great time will be had by all. The target on your back thing is nonsense. As is the assumption that there would be bragging by anyone who might be fortunate enough to shoot better than you on that particlular day.

I hope 2024 gets better for you and your family!
