The ARA Indoor Nationals is the measuring rod as to the state of rimfire accuracy advancement.


Indoor shooting places a premium on the equipment....a big premium.


And the ARA Indoor Nationals is the "Halcyon Event" of indoor shooting.


This is why here at CYA we spend so much time discussing the ARA Indoor Nationals and its implication on the advancement of rimfire accuracy.

And the epitome of rimfire accuracy advancement, today, is Mike Sherrill shooting SPEC 5, BLACK DEATH.





Big Dog and DEATH hold the greatest "pure rimfire accuracy" Record in all of RFBR......


But.................


Rimfire accuracy advancement is in troubled waters......sad to say....


Because Big Dog and SPEC 5, BLACK DEATH, have held this Record for two years now, going on three.......


I know what the answer is to start moving rimfire accuracy advancement forward again....

Big Dog has held his ARA Indoor Nationals Record for two years now, and running....





We're not advancing rimfire accuracy today..................


And I know exactly the reason why.........


But..........


I can't just snap my fingers and change the world.......


If I could I'd do it in a heartbeat....

Rimfire accuracy will remain stagnant until Big Dog's ARA Indoor Nationals Record is broken...


This is worrisome to me...........this state of stagnation in the advancement of rimfie accuracy...


And I know exactly the cause, but there's nothing I can do about it....except use this keyboard and try to get some things changed.

Especially at my age....


I'm with Dr David Livingstone, the famous African explorer who said, "I'll go any direction, so long as it's forward".......



And until someone breaks Big Dog's ARA Indoor Nationals Record, rimfire accuracy advancement is in a state of stagnation...

Or even backing up.......yes, even backing up.....

CYA accuracy fool friends, I heard a rumor last evening.....


And if this "rumor" turns out to be true, the main thing we need to start advancing rimfire again, will happen......

But...........

I can not allow myself to get too cited by this rumor........cause if it's not true, it would be too big a letdown....
