Now we have the "Patterson" forum thread could Jeff please post a list of the rifles he has built with pics. A little description with owner info would also be interesting.

I would like to follow their progress as I've done with the Calfee rifles.

Thanks,

TKH

Hi Tony,

When Bill and I discuss a "Patterson" forum......we primarily were doing so for the upcoming "Spec" Series of builds.
Over the past year or so, Ive primarily been busy with Gunsmith work (re-barreling, firing pins, blueprint issues, stocks etc.), I never dreamed that anyone would actually care and have not documented (photographed) the process of my builds.

If someone knew me well, and was ask to describe me.....they would most likely say that I have a "inferiority complex", or in other words... I'm happy laying low in the shadows. SO.......posting on a forum is something that I will have to work on!!

I will do my best to update the upcoming "Specs"...... may update some information on some "Iconic Calfee rifles" that have changed owners and have been re barreled and refreshed in the past year or so.

I truly appreciate your interest.

Jeff

Jeff,

I understand staying under the radar is the safe way to be these days but documenting history is much more important.

Those that come behind us need to know how and why things were developed and what the thinking was at the time.

Without history we just keep reinventing the same old wheel.

Please take the time to document your progress. Many people that you may never know will benefit.

I've worked with Jeff Patterson now for several years......

He is the hardest working and most dedicated individual I believe I've ever been around...

Jeff, like myself, has no interest in simply screwing a barrel on an action and calling it a custom RFBR gun.

Jeff, like myself, works from the inside out.......

But even more importantly....

With every build, Jeff looks for ways to improve the "breed"........to advance rimfire accuracy..

He, like myself, is not satisfied with the "status quo" level of RFBR components.......barrels, actions, triggers, stocks, etc.

He, like myself, constantly searches for ways to improve all RFBR components.....

And in the process of searching for ways to advance rimfire accuracy, Jeff will document his work, including pictures and movies.....

Just as I have throughout my RFBR career....

The Patterson forum here at CYA is for Jeff to use as he has time....

And for folks wanting to ask him questions........which knowing Jeff he will always answer in due course....

I look forward, as I know you folks do, to watching and listening to Jeff advance rimfire accuracy....

Because advancing rimfire accuracy is what CYA is all about.

Your comment in bold orange:

Someone must document history, like you're doing, or down the road the history revisionists will destroy the truth for their self centered benefit....

And it's not just RFBR history, just look at the world we live in today and what the history revisionists are doing to this beautiful country we live in........

Friend TDX, thank you for taking the time to leave an accurate recorded history of RFBR......

I know Jeff Patterson, and he fully understands the significance of recording history, whether he, or you TDX, necessarily wanted to be the individuals who had to take the time and hassle to do it....
