    CYA friends:

I have another thread started about my latest project, I call it "the trials and tribulations"......of being a 75 year old man with a 15 year old brain.

So I don't want to walk on that thread....

So I'm posting these pictures here..

Here's a couple pictures showing what I mean by butterfly extractor slots...

I just finished boring the MD for this project....

I'm getting ready to reassemble the rifle and head to the range, to shoot this thing one last time..

    CYA friends:

Here's what the butterfly extractor slots look like installed in the action....

The slot on the right side of the chamber is really not much different that a normal slot.....

The right of the chamber is where most folks, left port actions, miss the chamber with the nose of the bullet when loading...

So this butterfly extractor slot is really not much larger than a normal slot.

When I shot it I could not distinguish loading it being any different than a normal extractor slot.

I did not get to the range last evening for one final test......had some company drop by.

I plan on shooting it one last time today...

    Your friend, BC
