The Indoor Nationals will be at the world-famous Piney Hill Range in Luray Va.

Shooting schedule:

21 March 2025 Friday at 1200 Noon Sporter Nationals 6 cards 3 yards, 3 cards meters.

22 March 2025 Saturday 0900hrs. 3 gun. 3 cards meters.

22 March 2025 Saturday 1300 hrs. (1 pm) Sporter 10 shot 5 cards all yards.

23 March 2025 Sunday 0900 hrs. 3 gun, 3 cards yards..

Get your shooting year started right.

There will be trophies and lots of Hall of Fame points to be won. Hope to see everyone there.

We are getting closer to the IR 50/50 Indoor Nationals and preparations have begun.

This Nationals weekend does not include the unlimited class. This will be shot on another date.

I hope everyone that is planning to come is making the necessary reservations.

I understand that this Nationals will only draw a certain crowd. The focus is on shooting light weight sporters and limits equipment down to shooting off of sandbags.

Even though these are full on benchrest rifles shooting them is quite different from shooting heavy rifles. In the unlimited class you are allowed to use one piece rest or otherwise known as shooting from a vice.

Light weight rifles require more attention to rifle handling and bench manners. A little more focus is on the shooter.

I know of no greater thrill in shooting than shooting a sporter.

That 6.5 power scope doesn't allow you to even see the X dot but somehow you are able to knock that dot out nearly as often as you can with the heavier rifles.

If you have never seen just how accurate these sporters are I invite you to come to the Nationals it may open up a whole new challenge for you.

Every target winner will earn a Hall of Fame point, and they will deserve it.
