Friend Paul Tolvstad:

Paul, I heard that Ellie Carroll did some pretty good shooting at Van Dyne this week-end...

Paul, do you know what gun Ellie was shooting?

No hurry.....I know you're busy with the matches...( you did some pretty good shooting yourself)

Friend NormFlynn:

Thank you for posting the picture of Ellie and Divine Force.

Ellie's target win at Van Dyne demonstrates her shooting skill more so than the accuracy of Divine Force under those double tough shooting conditions.

I like the way Ellie's controlling initial retardation with tissue paper under the fore end since Divine Force has no front bumpers...very clever.

Thanks again Norm...

Ellie and Jeff were always great wind shooters and she proved it again Saturday in some really tough conditions.

On side note I qualified for the PSL Main Event shooting Georgia Shaker.

Bill,

Jeff did a great job on Shaker. Only thing I've done to it was move the tuner in 5 clicks. If it wasn't for one bad target at the Area 3 Tournament at Kettlefoot, when a storm blew in, it would have been top 10 there too.

I'd really like to have Spec 8 to go with Spec 9. But I think it will need a new barrel and stock just like Shaker.

Friend Paul "Georgia Shaker" Tolvstad:

Paul, you mentioned you'd like to own SPEC 8, too.......I'd also like for you to own 8.

What I'm about to say is strictly wishful thinking on my part cause I'm physically incapable of getting involved with SPEC 8 today.....I wish it weren't the case, but it is.

When I built SPEC 8 over 15 years ago I had no problem finding ammo that it liked.....

But a lot can happen to a RFBR gun in 15 years......

This is strictly wishful thinking, what I'm about to say:

I would like to see SPEC 8 put in Jeff Patterson's hands.....

Jeff would determine if the barrel is damaged, or not, same for the bedding...

Paul, if the barrel on 8 is not damaged, and the issue winds up being the bedding, a re-bed by Jeff would have SPEC 8 win capable again, like she was 15 years ago...

Paul, it'd be a shame to let SPEC 8 languish in the trash heap of time......

I'm a dreamer...................(it's easy to dream and expect someone else to do the work)

I see Ellie's shooting Eley......
(view the attachment)

I like this cause I bleed Eley Red

Oh, and she still uses the Calfee scope mounting system.....this is the most fool proof way to mount a scope to a RFBR gun.

Congratulations again Ellie "Divine Force" Carroll.

Oh, one other thing....

I wonder if Ellie would be interested in seeing what she could do with a full on Calfee pistol?

I've dreamed about shooting one of those since the BR50 days

PW....My slick plate system is just like shooting one of Bill's pistols except with a rifle.

Friend john prince:

Are you "sure" that shooting a rifle on your slick plate system is like shooting one of my pistols?

Your LBK and pistol fool friend, Bill Calfee

It's actually better. Changing elevation by riding up or down the inclined plate beats squeezing a bag. And you can even one-hand it if you care to.

Day dreaming......

CYA accuracy fool friends:

I'm a big daydreamer.....always have been.....

Would I love to see Ellie "Divine Force" Carroll shoot my MD-PAS triple lug pistol.....you bet!

Course it ain't going to happen.........(too much between reality and daydreaming for that to actually happen)

But if Ellie could try this pistol, oh my Lord would she ever love it.
