CYA accuracy fool friends:

I remember the day it all started almost 35 years ago..

I walked to the firing line with my RFBR pistol and I remember the comments in the background from some of the rifle competitors.

Who's that fool with that goofy looking contraption?.......is that guy nuts?

CYA accuracy fool friends:

After the dust settled they handed me and my pistol the trophy...

And the world of rimfire accuracy advancement changed forever.

Howdy Bill,

That pistol is SO COOL!

A guy at work has two of your Calfee XP's for Silhouette. He absolutely, positively, will NOT part with either of them. I asked him several years ago how accurate they were at 100 yards. He sorta looked around to make sure no one would overhear and said "you would not believe me if I told you". I said "try me".

He said "on a good day with no wind they shoot half an inch, or better, at 100 yards".

Bill, they still have the 15 inch (I think) barrels.

Yours has the rifle length barrel. And it has everything you've learned built into it. I have no doubt it's better than the Calfee XP's the guy at work has.

I can never thank you enough for the day you evaluated the sleeved Calfee Suhl last year.

And it was an honor to get to examine that pistol that day. Especially after having seen so many pictures of it. When you told me how slick the bolt was, you pointed out how it did not have a heavy bolt lift. Working it back and forth it was exactly as you said.

If you could have seen the look on your face as you described that pistol, you would have seen the love, confidence, pride and joy you have in it.

I would think that pistol is the ultimate refinement of all your pistols.

That pistol is SO COOL!

Take care,

Greg

Yes, some of my IHMSA pistols would shoot half inch groups at 100 yards, with 15 inch barrels...

Greg, you own a one off, unique, RFBR gun.....cherish it.....

I wish I were 20 years younger.....but it is what it is......the natural order of life as a human being.
