Friend JP65:

Jeff, will The Virginian also be SPEC P-10?

If so a dream that started almost 16 years ago may finally become a reality.

Yes....SPEC 10

Jeff
Jeff,

That is great news. I recall when Tony Blosser ordered that SPEC rifle.

There is and was so much RFBR shooting done in Virigina, I thought it was a great name.

I hope the new owner realizes all that Spec rifle represents. Lord knows it has been a long time coming.

CYA accuracy fool friends:

I'm so excited by the prospect of THE VIRGINIAN finally being built after 16 long years waiting.

The State Color for Virginia is a deep blue...

So I modified an old doodle with a deep blue stock...

Friend JP65:

Your know Jeff, what's so neat about the fact that it's taken 16 years, means The Virginian will be built on a three lug action with 6 ignition, with a crescent firing pin, and installed in a straight line stock......with one of the late, amazing triggers....

If I would have built The Virginian it would have been on a 2 lug action with 12 ignition and a Jewell trigger with a non-straight line stock and of course no crescent firing pin...

And of course you building it instead of me.....Jeff, your work is far superior to what mine was...(the student has passed by the teacher)

I'm now glad things worked out that I didn't build it.......even though 16 years has passed....

Bill,
I understand you’re thinking about incorporating all the improvements into The Virginian. I think that is great too. But I wonder how many National wins the rifle would have achieved if it had been built when it was ordered. Tony Blosser knew how to point a rifle.

Howdy Jeff,

I gotta ask a favor, if you have time.

I genuinely ENJOYED reading along as Bill discussed builds as he did them. I learned a lot, too, and I enjoy learning.

If you have time.......as you build this can you post about it?

Take care,

Greg

I too hope Jeff does some videos as he produces The Virginian, and posts them on his YouTube channel.....wouldn't that be awesome.

If he has time of course...

I'll do my best.....as most have found out, when on the phone I usually have plenty to say and I feel like sometimes they wish I would shut up LOL.
BUT......when it comes to these forum post.....I am a man of few words and find it difficult.

Thanks, I appreciate the interest.

An update on SPEC P10.....
Talk with the owner today, going to be a few months of delay. In the gun world....that shouldn't surprise anyone lol.

We have decided to move forward with SPEC 5 while we wait, I'll try to give some updates and videos as it progresses.
Always keep in mind that on the YouTube platform, one is not allowed to video or show gunsmith work or "how to" videos (showing how to perform work or task on a firearm) against the rules. Testing, shooting, demos, reviews etc.....ok....but NO work!

I appreciate everyone's interest, I'll do my best.

Hey Bill.....it was great to see you. See you again when things dry out.....man! what a down pour today!
