Sure would like to see the lapping process. It amazes me that it’s even possible to work inside such a small space.

Jeff,
I’ve waited a long time to see The Virginian.
I remember when Tony Blosser ordered that rifle. I was disappointed when it didn’t get built. Now you are finally going to build it. Can’t wait to see your finished product! Please keep us informed of your progress.

Hi Fellows,

SPEC P10 Update:
THE VIRGINIAN is still in the works.....

It's been cold with some terrible wind. Just cannot get agreeable conditions to create a video. If the wind is calm enough to test, it's too cold to video (terrible mirage, making viewing impossible). Excellent barrel test, very pleased.

Turbo V-3 w/crescent tip firing pin.
McMillian solid fill stock (straight lined).
Flavio Whisper 2.1 Trigger.
Broughton 4C Barrel.
Note: Owner did not want to paint.....so this one is clear coat only.

I'll keep watching for the conditions needed.
Still have to put the lettering on and polish the barrel......but here's a peak.

THE VIRGINIAN

Bill would demand a teardrop.......
Today I formed the original bolt handle into a teardrop......or as close as I can. Due to the size of the thread & base on the handle, you cannot get the handle portion just before the knob any smaller or it wouldn't match up.

This is very close to the teardrop that Bill made for Waltzing Matilda.

Yes......that was one of the last of Bill's projects in the shop. He enjoyed doing it!
I can remember his words like it was yesterday..........."I miss being out in the shop. Jeff.....enjoy every minute of it, while you can."

Merry Christmas my friend....to you and yours! Tell Scott Kiddle, I said Merry Christmas.

Cant wait to see this rifle finished!! Did the customer pick the 4c Broughton ?

Hi Mtn Boy.......yes THE VIRGINIAN is sporting a Broughton 4C

Finally got the opportunity and some decent conditions to test. COLD outside which created mirage, but it's still viewable.
I didn't realize until watching the video......I was shooting without a fan. A fan would have cleared away a lot of the mirage.

Anyways......the owner wanted to see it shoot. Going to be a while before he can pick it up. I'll try to get some more video of test sessions.
Hint.......when watching on YouTube, you can speed up the player time to make it view faster (I sound like Alvin and the Chipmunks but hey lol).

Lapua Midas+......shot at 50 yards.

Again......sorry about the quality, I'll try again.

I just realized that I recorded my warm up shots on the bottom of the target.
I dialed my scope in on the 1st sighter on the right side, then made my scope adjustment. Didn't realize that I even recorded it.
I wanted to get a feel for the conditions and hold.
