Uh-oh..........

At the Virginia State and Mid-Atlantic 3-gun today at Piney Hill.......

Tony "TD Junior" Harper was the only Sporta, of the two events, to go clean...

Will that double bad SAP ignition Falcon Sporta of Bruce Hornstein be challenged tomorrow at the 2021 IR-50 Indoor Sporta Nationals?

I ain't going to be able to sleep tonight.....

I love these Big National Indoor RFBR Events....

Cause they're where the advancement in rimfire accuracy is defined...

What a missed opportunity ARA had to have a viable Sporta class...

If ARA would have configured the ARA bull with a large aiming ring like the IR-50 target, so the bull could be seen with a 6 power scope.....

And, if ARA would have adopted the IR-50 rules for the guns, 7 1/2 pounds....and 6 1/2 power scope.

There would be an extremely viable ARA Sporta class today....

I mean, ARA had the entirety of the IR-50 Sporta's sitting there ready to go....

Not all of them would have tried ARA Sporta, but a bunch would have...and as time passed more and more would have tried ARA...

And then some of the folks who had sportas built for ARA would have tried IR-50, too...

A win-win all the way round....

ARA could have had a viable Sporta class today simply by making the ARA target 6 power scope ready....

(By the way, regular ARA could be shot on the sporta target.......just like IR-50 does...the scoring of the ARA bull does not change because of the large ring for 6 power scopes..)

And simply adopting the IR-50 Sporta rules for the guns...

What a missed opportunity...man!

Our SAP ignition friends can't seem to catch a break....

I mean, they finally win a Big National Indoor Event with a competitor shooting a Falcon, which are no longer made.

I put my congratulations to Bruce Hornstein in the "Rimfire match schedule and results" forum.
