Gun Fool
Been dreaming and doodling again...
CYA accuracy fool friends:
I've been dreaming and doodling again..
My #8 IHMSA Silhouette Pistol, that I built 35 years ago, was also sold at the auction.....
It's in a left hand stock......Dean was left handed....
I got to studying it and man, I could turn that #8 XP pistol into a unique RFBR pistol......for a left hand shooter...
Plus, I'm sure it's been professionally bedded, and being a wood stock, it is much more stable than the factory modified nylon stocks, which I love by the way, but they are not as stable, so most folks do not like them.....
Anyway..........
The stock is long enough that the spacing from the center line of the grip to the bi-pod will be correct......
I'd have to make a new bi-pod rail, and bi-pod, and fit a new barrel and MD and possibly might have to do some stock work on the fore end for the larger diameter barrel.....
Again, this for a left handed person....
So here's a couple of doodles of what I've been dreaming about....again this XP is 35 years old.......and it's not my personal number 8, but the regular number 8 in the numbering sequence....
Now here it is in black......man it looks double bad in black....
My mind does a lot of dreaming that my old body can't keep up with........that's life....
Your pistol fool friend, Bill "dreaming and doodling" Calfee

PS:
I made some subtle changes, added highlights to the bolt handle and barrel, then added a second bi-pod leg, and blackened the stock more around the pistol grip area.......and added a stock graphic, CALFEE XP, in a subtle gray tone...
