Is the USA about to get hammered for the first time?

Is the USA about to get hammered for the first time?

CYA friends:

The first two Worlds were completely dominated by CYankees and CYankee equipment.

There is no "serious" CYankee presence at the 2015 Worlds being held in Australia.

Is the USA, without CYankees, and CYankee equipment, going to get throttled at this years World?

Man, I hope not........................

To answer the question, I'd say yes.

A lot of wind today but everyone had to deal with it and Tomi shot a 250 and 248 today and in the 3 gun he's 6 points in front with one more target tomorrow, I don't think he'll be caught.

Friend Peter Armstrong:

It looks like at this point the World Championship is Tomi's to lose.................

If he doesn't back up, he'll be the RFBR World Champion.

But, I've been at this since it all started and I've seen some amazing comebacks, and, some amazing folding at the last second.

To me, the most fascinating aspect of how this is playing out, is the fact that, all of the shooters, in contention, have to go to bed and sleep, and think, before shooting the final card.

How one of those shooters handles that pressure, the best, will determine who the World Champion will be.

Good luck to you too........

The pressure might get to some but Tomi doesn't seem the type to fold and it's not a US shooter in 2nd place either.

Peter

I take your point Peter, but I reckon anyone in the top 5, maybe 6 places could win the HV competition.

Why you have to shoot only one card on the last day still baffles me.

In any case good luck.

Brian

Final card today i will post results of HV and Aggs once finalised then we celebrate at the Farewell Dinner. In any case u will see and hear total praise of the event and the country from your US friends when they come home i am sure.

May I assume that Tomi is the new RFBR World Champion?

It's not over yet but I said before the HV if I could get money on Tomi to win the 3 gun I'd place the bet. Regardless what happens on the last target 2 of the top 3 in the 3 gun used Lapua and that's different to other worlds too.

Where in the heck is Mary Sherrill when I need her?

CYA friends:

By gosh, if Mary Sherrill was in Australia, we'd know who won!

Now it looks like Tomi has won again...........

The next 3 gun worlds are 2019 in South Africa but the one gun WBSF worlds like John Radford won in France could be Portugal 2016 and Italy 2018, so plenty to pick from for Team USA to try and regain past glory.

But the worlds are no different to Olympics if you don't show up you can't win.

Friend Peter:

So I gather, from your comment, that Tomi is the new World RFBR Champion?

By the way:

Ain't it cool that the World of RFBR has the USA on the strings, for a change?
