The current IR-50 Outdoor Sporter Nationals record is 500........and currently held by Tony and Junior....

Today Tony and Junior obliterated the record with a jaw dropping 532...........that's mind blowing.....

Tony and Junior were in one Zipp Code and the rest of the field were in another....my LORD..

I mean, it's one thing to up a 10-Shot record by a point or two, but to up the record by 32 points.....again, that's mind boggling...

The amazing part is, Tony and Junior have been killing it for over 12 years now....same ratchet barrel...

The number of National Championhsips and world records Tony and Junior have accomplished is, again, mind boggling....

And of course Junior is MD-PAS ignitioned.......

Like Bill said, it's one thing to top a record by 1 or 2 points........but to obliterate it by 32 points?!?

If you think Tony "TD Junior" Harper's breaking of the IR-50 Outdoor Sporter 10-SHOT Nationals Record by 32 points was mind boggling, hang on to your seats....cause you ain't seen nothing yet....

With most of the world's greatest 10-SHOT shooters in attendance, Tony and Junior bested the runner-up by, are you sitting down....96 points.

96 points.....................................I mean, mind boggling is an understatement.....

96 points......

What this amounts to, is Tony and Junior could almost have won the championship by shooting only four targets compared to the five the others competitors shot...

I mean, good grief....

Oh, and Junior still uses the original barrel........that's over 12 years of killing it, and counting......

Junior is arguably the greatest legal IR-50 Sporter in the history of Sporter shooting....

And Tony is arguably the greatest Sporter shooter in history...

TD Junior has always been a shooter. But that day in West Virginia he could do no wrong. Conditions were light but tricky. On many shots I hedged my holds but Junior just kept on hitting the dots.

Two year before I set the Sporter 10 shot 5 target agg record at 500. I thought that record would stand for a long time. Beating that record was unexpected. I was told before the last card I could beat the record. I had not even thought of it. I make it a point not to check how I’m doing during a match. But after the match I was excited. One of my targets was a 23 X card. That is not an easy task with. 7.5 lb rifle, with a 6.5X scope. Shooting off sand bags. You gotta love it when a plan comes together.

As sweet as that was I think my best win was the Livonia PSL.
I didn’t shoot the first three cards that well but those last two made up for it.

Oh the thrill of victory. But I have certainly had my share of the agony of defeat. I’ve learned more from my losses but I do like the wins!!!!

TD Junior is a Flash turbo with a 6 o’clock firing pin modification done by Lennard Baity. The rifle was built by Bill Calfee and has Calfee’s number two Sporter profile barrel. Bill Pippin made the stock. Here we are 12 years later and it still has the original barrel.
