12th place with 57 X...........actually 13th place also has 57 X....
Timo, this is why I've been an advocate for "True Accuracy" scoring for the IR-50 style target.......
True Accuracy scoring, is simply combining the raw score and X count together.......for the total score.
Congrat's to Tapani.......
At least this is one match where the winner, Tapani, would have won either way the scoring was done.....
Although it doesn't happen near often enough....
Your gun fool friend, BC

Friend gun fool Timo, I know this is off the subject, and I apologize.....
But.....................
I know you like to venture into new things........so do I.....
So, while we're waiting for a MD-PAS triple pistol to hopefully become available to the masses, I'm getting ready to start another pistol project to fill in the time....
Here's a doodle......
This is something I've wanted to do for years....
I'm taking my Ruger Single Six, old model, and I'm going to, first, short cylinder it.....
I'm going to cut down on the "jump" the bullet has to do before engaging the forcing cone....
And about the forcing cone........?
I'm not sure how to approach it, yet.....
Here's what I've got on my mind:
I'm pondering opening up the chambers about an additional .002"....
This will guarantee that the bullet is upset slightly larger as it enters the forcing cone......( it may be fine, as is, though?)
And the forcing cone will be the absolute minimum needed to keep it from spiting lead........
And the gap between the face of the cylinder and forcing cone will be the absolute minimum...
One would not want to do this to something like a 357 Magnum, for example, because of gas cutting the top strap.
But on a rimfire this isn't a problem....
Then I'm going to fit a 24 inch taper lapped barrel......with a MD.....
And figure someway to attach a bi-pod...
And finally......
I'm going to have to engineer a special ejector housing........cause I don't want to attach it to the barrel.......
