Absolutely.....there will be pictures....

_____

Now....................

Bill, I want to ask for your permission to do something....

J-PAT set up Matilda using every trick he knows to shoot Eley....

Jeff also fired a few rounds of Lapua in his bucket to make sure the crescent footprint was the correct depth.....proper function, etc..etc...

So Matilda will also handle Lapua as well as Eley, as is...

Now here's the request for your permission:

Not a single round of Lapua has been fired on a target......by either Jeff or me...

I have about 40 rounds, combined, of Michael "Black Death" Sherrill's 112 and 206 Lapua......I believe he won last years ARA Indoor with the 112...

If I get the chance to shoot Matilda again, would you mind if I shoot those 40 or so rounds on a target?

I won't post the results unless you want them posted.......

Bill, if you'd rather me not shoot the Lapua just say so and I'll stick to Eley if I get to shoot Matilda again....OK.

And yes, there will be plenty of pictures...

Until i get the rifle you can do whatever you think or want, i trust you 110%.Of course when i get it, it will be ELEY all the way.

Bill, I shouldn't have brought up the subject of trying some Lapua through Matilda.....

Yes, I'd love to see what Matilda would do, but, Eley is going to be shot through her so how she shoots with Lapua is immaterial.

And another thing, every time she's shot she has to be cleaned....and there's more killer bores ruined through cleaning than worn out from shooting...

So we decided to skip the Lapua test.......

Bill, Matilda is bad.....even with the old Eley we shot through her....

When two different individuals using two different lots of old Eley kick out nothing but 100's and X's, that's all the best Lapua could possibly do anyway other than produce a few more X's, maybe...

Jeff is painting her and shortly he and I will get together so I can get him the bolt knob I tear dropped..........and then some pictures....

You'll like this bolt knob because it forces the user to take full advantage of the long bolt handle.....yes, short lift actions like the V-3 do cock a little harder than 90 degree actions......

But Bill, once you get use to the short lift action, when you lift the bolt handle on a 90 degree action you wonder when the lifting is ever going to stop.....

This is one reason 3-P shooters do not use 90 degree lift actions...
